Picasso is a handsome cream-colored short-haired boy, almost 13 years old. He has had problems with painful infections in the past. So, his mom knew what the problem was, but with the recent loss of her spouse and with no family in the United States, she was unable to pay for treatment. At a loss for how to help Picasso, she dropped off a letter at our clinic, asking for help.

Aurora’s Angels Fund was created in memory of our hospital cat, Aurora, for situations such as this. Fortunately, treatment with antibiotics and cleaning the wound was straightforward, so we were able to take care of Picasso. He is now feeling much more comfortable!  The infection cleared without complications, and he is back to his old self.

We want to thank our generous friends who have already donated to the fund. Without your help, we would not be able to provide optimal treatment for Picasso and cats like him. A Cat Clinic will also be contributing; we are in the process of setting up a program which will allow a percentage of every pet’s visit to be donated to the fund.

If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation, please visit the Veterinary Care Foundation website and choose A Cat Clinic in the drop-down list for Maryland veterinary practices. You can also make a donation when you are here at the clinic.

We are glad Picasso is feeling better. And, as all of us at A Cat Clinic enjoy helping every cat we can, we are very grateful to have this wonderful tribute to Aurora!
